Country Director, Marie Stopes Myanmar
Sid Naing is the Country Director for Marie Stopes Myanmar and joined the organisation in 2006.
After obtaining a medical degree from the Institute of medicine in Yangon, he moved on to work for government and public sectors in Myanmar. Sid has been studying public health at Columbia University, business management at the Economics Institute associated with the University of Colorado, as well as public administration at Yangon Institute of Economics.
Sid has served in both technical and management capacities for various NGOs as well as the UN before joining MSI Reproductive Choices. He has experience advocating for health-related needs and rights, and the role of civil society in the health sector. He is an executive member of Myanmar Preventive and Social Medicine Society, and a member of Joint Parliamentarians and Community Network Consortium Committee on HIV, Human Rights and Legal Reform.
