As COVID-19 continues to devastate lives and communities across the world, MSI has launched a new report sharing data on the impact of the pandemic on access to sexual and reproductive healthcare and rights, alongside insights and learnings from our frontline providers.
In our short report, Resilience, Adaptation and Action: MSI’s response to COVID-19, we share new data on the impact of COVID-19 on our safe abortion and contraceptive services, frontline stories of resilience and innovation, and new insights from our Ipsos MORI survey on how women’s access has been affected by life under lockdown in the UK, South Africa and India.
To launch the report, we held a virtual briefing on Wednesday 19th, to discuss the impact so far and predictions for the future of SRHR under COVID-19 and beyond.
We were joined by speakers from MSI and the Nigerian Ministry of Health to hear about the impact of the crisis on reproductive healthcare and rights, how COVID-19 has presented a catalyst for change, and what needs to be done now to protect life-saving services.
Watch the webinar in full below and the slides can be downloaded here. Join the conversation over social media via #SpotlightSRHR.
We hope that sharing our data around additional barriers and lessons learned from our programmes will help us as a community prepare and adapt for the next stages of this pandemic and future crises.
