Analyse de genre et stratégie de genre pour le Mali

MSI recherche un ou une consultant/e pour mener une analyse de genre intersectionnelle pour le Mali et élaborer une stratégie de genre dans le cadre de la phase de démarrage du projet financé par GAC. La consultation se concentrera sur l'avancement de l'égalité des sexes pour les femmes et les filles dans les programmes SRHR, cependant, elle adoptera une approche intersectionnelle plus large reconnaissant que l'inégalité des sexes se croise avec d'autres formes de discrimination pour composer des obstacles à l'accès SRHR.

En raison des restrictions actuelles de COVID-19, il n'est pas prévu que le/la consultant.e voyage à l'étranger. MSI encourage les consultants qualifiés résidant au Mali à postuler afin de mener l'analyse de genre dans le pays, avec un éventuel voyage dans le pays pour mener des entretiens approfondis et des discussions de groupe si les règles et les restrictions du pays sur COVID-19 le permettent, et si les exigences éthiques peuvent être satisfaites avant la date limite des livrables. Si le voyage dans le pays n'est pas autorisé, une analyse de genre basée sur l'examen de la littérature et des données secondaires et des entretiens virtuels avec un.e consultant.e basé dans un endroit éloigné sera acceptée. L'analyse et les stratégies de genre nécessitent un démarrage immédiat et doivent être achevées aux dates indiquées dans la section des livrables.

Gender Equality and SRHR Programmatic Scoping

MSI Reproductive Choices aims to become a gender transformative organisation by 2030, which means MSI will intentionally challenge gender inequality both internally at the organisational and programmatic level, and externally in the contexts where we work through our programming and relationships with partners.

MSI is seeking one or more consultants to provide technical assistance to strengthen and advance gender equality in its SRH programmes, ultimately aiming for MSI to be a gender transformative organisation by 2030. External technical gender equality expertise will support the organisation to develop and articulate a shared vision of how MSI will advance and promote gender equality through its core services, wider SRH programming, people and clients. The consultancy will also support MSI to internalise this vision across the organisation, and articulate it in our communications materials, donor communication and proposals.

How to apply

One more or more consultants may be hired, can be based anywhere, and conduct the work remotely. The consultant(s) will be expected to communicate via online video calls and email during UK business hours. Consultants from an Asian or African country are particularly encouraged to apply. The consultancy is expected to commence in June 2021 and end in mid-December 2021. Interested consultants may apply to conduct all or part of the work. Candidates will be interviewed on a rolling basis.

SGBV Capacity Building Specialist Consultancy

To achieve the bold vision of its 2030 strategy, MSI Reproductive Choices commits to expanding access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). This includes mitigating risks of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), encompassing sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA), through the provision of SGBV response services and care. These are not secondary to the provision of sexual and reproductive health services – they are intrinsic to delivering comprehensive, client-centred care. To achieve the commitments MSI has made to its clients, MSI will strengthen its preparedness to mitigate risks of and respond to SGBV by implementing a basic care approach and package of services, including establishing systems and procedures to better support, serve and refer survivors of SGBV, and work with our partners to develop a commitment to comprehensive SGBV mitigation and care.

MSI is seeking one or two consultants to (1) conduct a qualitative assessment and (2) develop a provider training package for SGBV, building on existing tools and guidance and informed by the qualitative learning exercises. Please see the terms of reference.

How to apply

Due to the ongoing restrictions of COVID-19, the consultant(s) are not expected to travel internationally. The consultant can be based anywhere and conduct the work remotely and will be expected to communicate via online video calls and email during UK business hours. The consultancy is expected to commence in June 2021, be conducted over approximately two months, and may be extended.
