Our partners

    Home      Who we are      Partners

If we are to realise a world where everyone has reproductive choice, partnership is essential.

We work with a range of partners at a global, national and community level, from governments and global aid agencies to private healthcare providers and grassroots organisations.

Together we deliver services, strengthen national health systems, provide training, advocate for change, share expertise and deliver impact — supporting over 93,000 people with their reproductive choices every day.

We’d like to thank those who support our work around the world. Whether that’s through gifts, grants, funding, or technical assistance — your generous support enables us to serve millions of people through a variety of projects.

Below is a selection of our key partners.

    FCDO

The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is a UK government department, with programmes focused on tackling global challenges and reducing poverty. FCDO has been a long-term global supporter and contributor to poverty reduction, gender equity and humanitarian support.

As part of their approach to improving gender equality, FCDO’s Women & Girls strategy works across three thematic areas: educating girls; empowering women for better health & rights; and ending gender-based violence. MSI is proud to support this work through our FCDO-funded programmes across numerous countries in Asia and Africa.

    CIFF

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation is an independent philanthropic organisation, working with a range of partners to transform the lives of children and adolescents. CIFF’s portfolio focuses on child health and development, climate change, sexual and reproductive health and rights, girl capital and child protection.

MSI is proud to have partnered with CIFF since 2015 and in 2021, MSI and CIFF entered into a strategic partnership, when CIFF awarded MSI the Step-Up Programme to boost sexual and reproductive health and rights.

    DFAT

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is the government agency responsible for advancing Australia’s international interests and promoting its security, prosperity, and values globally. At the heart of its efforts lies the foreign aid programme, which aims to alleviate poverty, enhance economic development, and address humanitarian crises in partner countries.

Through targeted initiatives, DFAT provides financial and technical support, focusing on gender equality, health, education, infrastructure, and governance. This foreign aid programme reflects Australia’s commitment to fostering stability and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

    European Union

Together with its Member States, the European Union (EU) is the world’s leading overseas development aid donor. European development policy fosters sustainable development and stability in developing countries, with the ultimate goal of eradicating extreme poverty. It is focused on ‘the 5Ps’: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership, with gender equality as a cross-cutting priority for all policy and programming.

MSI Reproductive Choices is proud to partner with the EU on this important work, for example, through the Youth for Health (Y4H) programme, promoting universal sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescents in Africa.

    The World Health Organisation

Founded in 1948, the World Health Organization (WHO) is a UN agency working across 194 members states to improve everyone’s ability to enjoy good health and well-being, while leading global efforts to expand universal health coverage.

MSI is proud to work in partnership with the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research Team at the WHO across multiple initiatives, particularly in relation to the development and implementation of guidelines.

    FP2030

FP2030 is the only global partnership centred solely on family planning. FP2030 brings together a range of partners across disciplines and sectors, while situating family planning at the crossroads of the global health, development, and gender equality agendas.

MSI is proud to collaborate closely with FP2030 since its launch in 2012 as an implementing partner, commitment maker and a current member of the governing board.

    UNFPA

UNFPA is the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency. MSI is proud to partner with UNFPA through numerous joint programmes and advocacy collaborations at global and national level, and to be part of the Steering Committee and the Strategy and Planning Committee of UNFPA Supplies.

    SheDecides

SheDecides is a global political movement fighting for a world where every woman, girl and young person – in all their diversity – can decide what to do with their body, life and future. Since it was founded in 2017, MSI has been a key partner and is proud to be working with SheDecides for everyone’s right to choose, with MSI’s CEO, Simon Cooke as a SheDecides Champion.

    ASAPAsia Safe Abortion Partnership

The Asia Safe Abortion Partnership was founded in March 2008 in Kuala Lumpur. This dynamic and progressive network aims to protect and advance women’s sexual and reproductive rights and health by promoting access to comprehensive abortion services and by reducing unsafe abortions.

ASAP is the only such network in Asia and focuses on south-south capacity building and providing a forum for experience sharing and interactions. Members and partners at country level are supported in their advocacy work through small grants, networking and capacity-building opportunities.

MSI is proud to partner with ASAP in their advocacy and movement building.

    MAMA Network

MAMA Network is a collaboration of grassroots activists and feminist groups based in Sub-Saharan Africa. Members work to share evidence-based and stigma-free information about self-managed medical abortion and sexual and reproductive health and rights directly with women at a community level.

The network’s collective aim is to improve women’s health and empowerment and reduce maternal mortality and morbidity due to unsafe abortion. MAMA members collaborate to expand the impact of effective regional community strategies to increase access to safe abortion options across countries and contexts.

MSI is proud to partner closely with MAMA network to increase access across the region.
