The choice to use contraception or have an abortion supports girls to stay in school, women to pursue work, and communities to prosper. But millions of women and girls still cannot make these choices. With the generous support of our donors, we’re working hard to change that.

Since 1976, we’ve met women where they live, understood their aspirations and reproductive healthcare needs, and delivered the choices they deserve.

Choices that can mean everything. Choices that can define a life.

Together with partners and donors, these healthcare services have changed and saved millions of lives. We’re proud to have expanded reproductive choice across the world for five decades.

Impact in 2025

In 2025, our frontline teams rallied and innovated to reach as many people as possible.

When the US government withdrew billions of dollars from global health programmes, other health providers were forced to reduce services or shut. MSI teams adapted and worked with governments to fill gaps, protecting access to services.

The global demand for reproductive healthcare is higher than ever, as more women and girls have learned about their rights and options. Thanks to our donors, partners and frontline teams, we were able to support 100,000 people with their reproductive choices every day in 2025.
