MSI’s programme in Ghana launched in 2006 to provide access to quality and affordable sexual and reproductive healthcare.
Since then, MSI Reproductive Choices Ghana has become one of the leading sexual and reproductive healthcare providers in the country, ensuring no one is left behind by expanding access for marginalised and underserved communities.
In partnership with the Government of Ghana and other stakeholders, MSI Ghana is working to reduce unsafe abortion by ensuring women have access to modern contraception and safe abortion care that allows them to take control of their futures. Safe abortion care is provided by the programme’s centre network of clinics, which also serve as training centres, increasing the skills of other healthcare providers across the public and private sectors.
Through funding support from the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO), BlueHills Foundation, Global Affairs Canada, European Commission, Children Investment Fund Foundation, West Africa Health Organisation, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, MSI Ghana has been able to expand access to millions of people across Ghana.
